At Morph ICT we believe that we need to protect the environment from the impact IT has on the planet. From the smallest devices all the way up to servers, we aim to reduce our impact and our customers as much as we can.
To help us reach our goal we try to use some of the greenest providers avilable. Below is a list of the providers and partners we use to help reduce our impact.
We have partnered with a local company based right here in Andover Ecologi, who plant trees and fund planet-saving projects to reduce CO2. So far with Ecologi we have already offset 1.3 tonnes of CO2 and planted over 100 trees. To find out more about Ecologi and the great work they are doing for the planet, visit their website.
Microsoft has been operating as carbon neutral since 2012. To achieve this they have been using carbon offsetting. This means services such as M365 are carbon neutral. For more information on how they plan to become carbon negative by 2030 visit their blog.
A computer recycling social enterprise; started off in a workshop with a volunteer tutor wanting to teach clients about refurbishment of IT equipment, they have grown as companies began to give donations. At Morph ICT we use Jamie's Computers to help ensure that equipment no longer fit for schools can be used again in an environmently aware way while ensuring we protect our customers with the latest data destruction methods. We use Google Cloud as our hosting provider for the Morph ICT website. Google is carbon neutral today but aiming higher: their goal is to run on carbon-free energy, 24/7, at all of their data centres by 2030. Plus, they are sharing technology, methods, and funding to enable organizations around the world to transition to more carbon-free and sustainable systems.
We are constantly looking for ways to reduce our impact on the planet. Moving as much of our own infrastructure to a cloud service such as M365.
