M365 & google backup
Did you know that Microsoft and Google don’t back up your data?
We don’t want to bombard you with technical reasons why you should back up. So, we will explain it using a House & Contents Insurance analogy.
- Microsoft, the providers of Office 365 only ensure the infrastructure of your Microsoft 365. Think of it as house insurance. House insurance looks after the foundations and structure of the house. All the possessions inside it (valuable data) is not covered by the policy (is not backed up). If you are broken into and items are stolen you would have to replace them yourself without any support from the insurance company (if malware or a disgruntled employee deleted/encrypted files so you can no longer access them/have them then you would have to pay the ransom fee or start all over again).
Our backup can be thought of as your content’s insurance. If your house (Microsoft 365) is broken into and a TV (data) is stolen our contents insurance (backup) will help you recover it.
- Every school has a duty to safeguard the data it uses wherever it is held this including cloud services such as emails.
We provide a Cloud Backup Service that backups up the vital data within these services. Its part of our backup solution and simply requires the purchase of additional storage within your current backup set.
Every day, our systems would backup your files. These backups are kept for 60 daily backups. Everything is retained for 2 months.
We don’t want to overload you with reason why you should do it – but you should. To find out how we can help protect your cloud data reach out to us by clicking the button below.
